The LS & I has primarily three different routes.
Marquette line: Eagle Mills-Marquette
Tilden line: Eagle Mills-Tilden Mine
Republic sub: Negaunee-Republic.
There are two other short lines. There is a .7 mile line from Eagle Mills-Diamond Jct., and the short Harris yard lead
east of LS & I Jct. in Negaunee.
The Republic sub is seperate from the rest of the system. The line has serachlight ABS, and a few islands of CTC, but
they are turned off and it is track-warrant controled now by the LS & I operator. The Marquette line & Tilden line
have CTC, with a combination of searchlight and tri-light signals.
The WC and LSI have jointly owned track on the Republic sub from LS & I Jct. in Negaunee-Landing Jct. in Ishpeming,
and on the Tilden line from Palmer Line Jct.-Eagle Mills Jct. Maitenance is shared on these tracks, and they are under control
of the LS & I operator.
The WC also has trackage rights over the Tilden line from Eagle Mills-Eagle Mills Jct., Palmer Line Jct.-Empire Mine,
rights in Eagle Mills yard, and into the Eagle Mills pellet plant. On the Republic sub, the WC has trackage rights from Landing
Jct. in Ishpeming-Humboldt Jct. in Humboldt.
The LS & I has trackage rights over the WC into Partridge yard from both Empire Jct. and Palmer Line Jct. on the
Tilden line, over the WC Hogan line from Eagle Mills Jct.-West Wye Jct. and East Wye Jct., and over the WC Republic sub from
Diamond Jct.-LS & I Jct. in Negaunee.
Besides their own tracks, the LS & I operator governs movements over several WC lines: the entire WC Republic
sub from Diamond Jct.-Negaunee, the entire WC Hogan line from Eagle Mills Jct.-West Wye/East Wye Jct., the WC's Partridge
yard, and the WC connection tracks from Partridge to the LS & I Tilden line at Palmer Line Jct. and Empire Jct.
Major yards are: West Yard in Marquette, Eagle Mills yard, and Euclid Yard in Ishpeming (jointly owned with WC). Only
West yard and Eagle Mills yard are actively used by the LS & I.
A large complex of carshops and locomotive shops are located at Eagle Mills.
